On three Wednesday evenings, Jan. 18, Feb. 1 & 15, 2012, we are continuing our discussion and discernment begun last Spring of how we at CHPC are responding to the shifting understanding and practice of marriage today. A majority of the presbyteries of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A) have voted to amend our Book of Order in a way that opens ordination as Elders, Deacons, or Ministers of Word and Sacrament to all people regardless of sexual orientation.

Food Pantry
Food Pantry Sunday - on the first Sunday of every month, CHPC worshippers are encouraged to bring food items for the food pantry operated by Lutheran Church of the Reformation.On Food Pantry Sunday bring some of the items listed below to collections bins at CHPC.
This is a basic bag of groceries designed to meet the needs of a family of four for two days. You may donate any of these items.The sizes indicated are selected because they fit easily into one bag. Although largersizes may be cheaper per ounce, we are unable to divide them among bags. PLEASE, NO GLASS CONTAINERS. Cans, paper, and plastic containers only.
2 cans green vegetables (12-15 oz)
- green beans, peas
2 cans yellow vegetables (12-15 oz)
- corn, carrots, mixed vegetables,
white or sweet potatoes
2 cans fruit (14-16 oz)
- peaches, pears, applesauce, cherries,
plums, cranberries, fruit cocktail
1 can pork and beans (12-16 oz)
1 can tuna (6 oz)
1 jar peanut butter (16-18 oz)
2 boxes macaroni and cheese (7 1/4 oz)
2 packages dried soup/flavored noodles
- (3 oz)-Ramen noodles
1 box crackers (16 oz)
1 box dry cereal (12-16 oz)
2 1-qt packages dried milk
