Conversations on Marriage

On three Wednesday evenings,  Jan. 18,  Feb. 1 & 15, 2012, we are continuing our discussion and discernment begun last Spring of  how we at CHPC are responding to the shifting understanding and practice of marriage today.  The first of these, on Jan. 18 was informative reflection and discussion of biblical theological perspectives on marriage.  Please watch this space for details of subsequent discussion topics, and read on for more information: more details…

Worship Ministry

byronbuckeasterphotos-087.jpg“You shall worship the Lord your God, and God only shall you serve.”
(Luke 4:8)

Our common life is centered in the praise of God, with worship central to our purpose and mission. In worship we praise, glorify and give thanks to God. We proclaim the gospel through word and music, and receive the shaping and renewing power of God’s grace through the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion. We respond to God’s redemptive action in Jesus Christ by faithful living and service to our community and the world.
