MESSAGE FROM OUR NEW PASTOR – REV. ERIN KEYS
Dear CHPC Community,
Thank you for a wonderful first Sunday. Sharing in worship with you followed by a delicious Souper bowl lunch was a perfect start to many more Sundays together.
This week in worship we will celebrate the Transfiguration of Christ.
This is the last Sunday before Lent and it is a time to reflect on the true nature of Christ, as well as our own true nature as God’s
Lent begins next week with Ash Wednesdayon February 14th. Ash Wednesday is an important day in our faith as we remember our mortality and prepare ourselves for the 40 days of Lent. It can be a time rich for reflection and spiritual renewal. While we do not have an Ash Wednesday service at church this year, I will have ashes available if anyone would like to come by the church to receive them. You may stop by anytime between 11am – 12pm or 3 – 4pm next Wednesday.
As we come to the end of what I am sure is for many a hectic week,
know that your church home is waiting for you and that in this place
there is healing, restoration, and peace.
See you Sunday,
